Noah is a conservationist from the Mvskoke-Creek tribe, dedicated to the preservation of Indigenous agrarian landscapes and sustainable agriculture. He is pursuing his PhD at the University of Arizona. His research focuses on revitalizing traditional agriculture as a means to restore biodiversity and enhance habitat value in agroecological landscapes across southern Arizona and the Gulf South. He places special emphasis on protecting working land bird species like the Sekulko (Purple Martins), which are integral to the health and heritage of these landscapes. Through his work, Noah aims to uplift the expertise and wisdom of Indigenous communities, demonstrating that the path to sustainability is paved with respect for tradition, community empowerment, and a deep connection to the land.
He was nominated by Prof. Laurel Bellante at the University of Arizona.
