Abdulrahaman is a wildlife veterinary officer with the Bauchi State Government in Nigeria, where he provides veterinary care, disease surveillance, and conservation support. His work contributes to efforts aimed at improving wildlife health monitoring and strengthening conservation outcomes in protected areas. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Wild Animal Health at the Royal Veterinary College, a program that integrates wildlife veterinary medicine, conservation, and disease ecology within a One Health framework. Through his studies, Abdulrahaman aims to strengthen his capacity to address wildlife health challenges, improve disease monitoring systems, and support evidence-based conservation interventions for endangered species, including African elephants. 

He was nominated by Dr. Markus Hofmeyr, Director of the Rhino Recovery Fund at WCN.
