Ololotu is the Executive Director of KopeLion, where he leads organizational strategy, governance, and community-based conservation initiatives focused on strengthening coexistence between people and lions in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. His work includes organizational leadership, stakeholder engagement, governance, and supporting locally-driven conservation solutions. He is pursuing an MBA in Conservation Leadership at the African Leadership University. His research evaluates the Ilchokuti (Lion guardian) model, a community-led approach in which local pastoralist warriors help prevent and respond to lion conflict. By examining the model’s effectiveness in reducing retaliation and improving community tolerance toward lions, Ololotu aims to strengthen and scale culturally grounded coexistence strategies across pastoral landscapes in East Africa.
