Erik is a conservationist and wilderness enthusiast from Rwanda. He holds a bachelor’s degree in conservation biology and a master’s in environmental management. He began his career assisting in Payments for Ecosystem Services Research in Nyungwe Forest National Park in Rwanda, and has held various roles in environmental non-profits in the US, including Coordinator of Urban Wildlife Programs at the National Wildlife Federation in Washington, DC. He’s excited about finally getting an opportunity to work in international conservation at WCN. In his free time, Erik enjoys dancing salsa, outdoor recreation, long-distance running, and has recently been exploring his new interest in astronomy.
