Abby has always been passionate about storytelling for social impact. With over a decade of experience in media, philanthropy, and emerging markets investment, her work has focused on amplifying voices and connecting people to solutions for global challenges. She began her career at Voice of America Africa, where she hosted a women-focused talk show, and later served as Director of Communications at PAX sapiens, a Giving Pledge-backed foundation dedicated to reducing global catastrophic risks. She has also advised investment projects in emerging markets on marketing and branding and co-founded the Unkara Group Foundation, a nonprofit tackling fast fashion waste in Africa while advancing circular economy education.
Abby holds a Master’s degree in Broadcasting from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism from the University of Oregon. Based in Washington, D.C., she is passionate about art, design, photography, and fitness, and also enjoys surfing, tennis, polo, horseback riding, and bouldering.
