Anna is a Russian conservationist and researcher, currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology at the University of Florida, where her research focuses on understanding the socio-economic drivers of human-tiger conflict and poaching in the Russian Far East. With a background as a GIS Specialist at ANO Society for Wildlife Conservation, Anna has contributed to ecological research on tigers and other species while also leading workshops on spatial data analysis and remote sensing. Her scholarship allows her to deepen her research and explore innovative social science methodologies to foster coexistence between humans and Amur tigers. Upon completing her PhD, Anna plans to return to Russia as a conservation communicator, bridging the gap between scientists, policymakers, and local communities to drive sustainable and inclusive wildlife protection.
